Astrid is a basilisk-cockatrice who got a soul. She who was transformed into a human. Her gaze remained deadly in the transformation, though the toxic fumes were turned into perfume. The perfume was still intoxicating for those who came too close.
Astid enjoyed being a human, and wanted to find someone to be with. She found Art. Art was immune to poison, so could be near her without passing out.
Astrid found out her soul was the soul of Jone, the deceased daughter of Jenny and Jeremy.[1]
Astrid and Art married and adopted Firenze. She also became a close friend of Fornax.[2]
